Net Price Calculator Template Update

The 2009-10 version of the Department’s Net Price Calculator template is now available at: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/Section/Net_price_calculator. Other materials such as the template source code and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) tables used in the template are also available. In addition, frequently asked questions regarding the net price calculator disclosure requirement have been updated. As a reminder, the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 requires each postsecondary institution that participates in Title IV federal student aid programs to post a net price calculator on its website by October 29, 2011. More information is available at the webpage linked above.

Online Tutorials for IPEDS Data Submission- Updated Link

The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), with support from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), offers free online tutorials for completing IPEDS surveys. The tutorials available on AIR’s website ( http://www.airweb.org/IPEDStutorials) provide step-by-step instructions – by institutional sector – on how to fill out IPEDS survey components. Tutorials also include a “What’s New” section, which outlines changes in the IPEDS survey from the previous year. Tutorials for all 2010-11 IPEDS surveys, along with other IPEDS data tool tutorials, including the IPEDS Data Center and College Navigator, are available.
