Online Tutorials for IPEDS Data Submission
The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), with support from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), offers free online tutorials for completing IPEDS surveys. The tutorials available on AIR’s website ( http://www.airweb.org/IPEDStutorials) are around 3 minutes in length and provide an overview of key concepts, such as Edit Explanations vs. Context Boxes and Who Counts as a First-time Student. Tutorials for the 2011-12 Fall IPEDS survey components are currently available. Please note that links to these tutorials are also available from the survey screens, so you can easily view them while you are submitting your data.
IPEDS Listserv Reminder
Interested individuals are invited to join the IPEDS listserv. The primary purpose of the listserv is to provide a forum for discussion of IPEDS-related questions and topics. IPEDS keyholders, coordinators, and other interested individuals can sign up by accessing the listserv homepage, at: http://ipedslistserv.rti.org. Also posted on the listserv homepage are instructions on how to use the listserv and archived discussions. As a courtesy to others, the IPEDS Listserv should ONLY be used for IPEDS-related issues.
