IPEDS Data Collection - Steps to Locking
Make sure the survey status for EACH survey in the current collection is Locked, Complete, or Not Applicable before the collection closes on October 19, 2005. Follow the Steps to Locking - do this for EACH survey in the current collection:
- Enter data
- Perform edits
- Resolve errors
- Perform edits again
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed, until survey status is Clean
- Lock survey
At any time, you may also click on the red "Am I Done?" message to determine if your surveys are complete.
HELP is available:
- Click on the ? in the upper right corner of most screens for instructions.
- Click on any underlined term for a definition.
- Click on the Help menu.
- Contact the Help Desk at 1-877-225-2568 or ipedshelp@rti.org.
The Fall collection will close to Keyholders on October 19, 2005. Beginning October 5, the Help Desk will start calling the CEOs of institutions that have not yet entered any survey data.
