TRP Suggestions Available for Comment

Suggestions from the most recent meeting of the IPEDS Technical Review Panel are posted at https://edsurveys.rti.org/IPEDS_TRP and are currently open for comment. Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #40, “Additional Selected Outcomes of the Advisory Committee on Measures of Student Success” that was held on October 23-24, 2012, in Washington DC. Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by January 14, 2013.

Enrollment, Finance, and Graduation Rate Data Released

The following NCES publication has recently been released: Enrollment in Postsecondary Institutions, Fall 2011; Financial Statistics, Fiscal Year 2011; and Graduation Rates, Selected Cohorts, 2003-2008: First Look (Provisional Data). The NCES publication number is: 2012174REV. It is available from the NCES publication page at: http://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/. These data are also now available in the IPEDS Data Center (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter) under the “Provisional Release” access level.

Reminder: IPEDS Will “Thank You” for Your Early Response

Do you know about the early response “thank you” email? Any institution which completes all required surveys three weeks prior to a collection deadline will have an email sent to the institution’s Chief Executive, thanking them for their early IPEDS response, and recognizing their Keyholder by name. While NCES realizes that it is not always within the keyholder’s control to complete the surveys this early, we do want to provide a word of gratitude to you and your Chief Executive when it is possible to do so. For the Winter 2012-13 collection, January 16, 2013 is the date by which SFA must be submitted in order to be eligible for this “Thank You” email.
