NCES Announces New Acting Program Director for IPEDS
NCES has announced that Jessica Shedd will begin serving as Acting Program Director for the Postsecondary Institutional Studies Program, effective May 21, 2012. The current Program Director, Elise Miller, will be leaving NCES in May and joining the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as a Senior Program Officer for Postsecondary Data. NCES extends its thanks to Elise for her creativity, intelligence, and energy that she brought to the position during her six year tenure.
Revised 2009-10 Data Now Available
Data submitted by institutions using the Prior Year Revision System during the current collection year are now available, for some survey components, through the IPEDS Data Center. This includes Institutional Characteristics (2010), Completions (2009-10), Student Financial Aid (2009-10), and 12-month Enrollment (2009-10).
TRP Suggestions Available for Comment
Suggestions from the most recent Technical Review Panel Meeting are posted at https://edsurveys.rti.org/ipeds_trp/ and are currently open for comment. Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #37, “Selected Outcomes of the Advisory Committee on Measures of Student Success” that was held February 28-29, 2012 in Washington, DC. Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by May 29, 2012.
