New Net Price Tables Available
The following NCES publication was released on January 17, 2012: What do Students Pay for College? These tables present information on the extent to which the average net price of attendance varies by control and level of institution for both first-time, full-time undergraduate students receiving grant aid and first-time, full-time undergraduate students receiving any Title IV aid, for academic years 2006–07 and 2008–09. The NCES publication number is 2012263 and it can be found at: http://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/ .
TRP Suggestions Available for Comment
Suggestions from the most recent Technical Review Panel Meeting are posted at https://edsurveys.rti.org/IPEDS_TRP/ and are currently open for comment. Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #36, “Collecting Data on Veterans,” which was held November 8-9, 2011, in Washington DC. Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by February 7, 2012.
Net Price Calculator Template Update
The 2010-11 version of the U.S. Department of Education’s Net Price Calculator template is now available at the Department’s Net Price Calculator Information Center (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/Section/Net_price_calculator). Other materials such as the 2010-11 template Quick Start Guide, source code, and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) tables used in the template are also available. In addition, frequently asked questions regarding the net price calculator disclosure requirement have been updated.
