Net Price Calculator (NPC) Webinar Recording Posted

The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) and the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) have posted a recording of a recently-held webinar funded by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The Webinar provides a demonstration of the NPC template as well as some background on the calculator and the related disclosure requirements. Reminder - Peer Analysis System (PAS) Being Retired

Peer Analysis System (PAS) users are reminded that the PAS (http://nces.ed.gov/ipedspas) is being retired effective March 2, 2010. PAS users should familiarize themselves with the IPEDS Data Center (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter) which is replacing the PAS.

Fellowships for National Summer Data Policy Institute (AIR/NCES/NSF)

The National Summer Data Policy Institute is a fully-funded, intensive study in national higher education data. Fellowships are funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and awarded by AIR. Fellows attending the week-long Institute in Washington, D.C. learn about U.S. higher education datasets from NSF and NCES staff. The application deadline is March 22, 2010.

Upcoming AIR/IPEDS Workshops

The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) announces several upcoming full-day workshops related to IPEDS. These face-to-face training sessions are geared toward IPEDS data providers and users and are taught by experienced practitioners from across the country. The workshops are co-hosted by AIR and other higher education organizations, with funding provided by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). NOTE: There is no fee to attend these IPEDS Workshops. You do NOT have to be a member of AIR or the co-sponsoring organization to attend an IPEDS workshop. You may attend an IPEDS workshop without paying the registration fee for the co-sponsoring meeting, if you will only be attending the workshop and not the meeting.
