Registration for the 2002-2003 IPEDS collection is open

All keyholders who were registered during the Spring 2002 collection have been sent a new UserID and password via email. If you did not receive your registration email, please contact the Help Desk. All keyholders are requested to register prior to August 9. After that date, the Help Desk will be contacting CEOs to ask to have a keyholder appointed. The Fall 2002 collection opens on September 9, 2002. Please refer to the schedule at http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/webbase.asp for more information.

File specifications

The import/export file specification for the 2001-02 completions component of the Fall 2002 Web data collection has been posted on the IPEDS website at http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/web2000/importsp.asp. There is only one change to the previous year's specification. The data field called MAJORNUM identifies first and second majors and replaces the data field PART used in the previous year. This field is a numeric field where the value of 1 identifies first majors and 2 identifies second majors.
