This Week In IPEDS (TWII)
The Fall 2002 IPEDS collection is closed to keyholders
NCES and the Help Desk are unable to accept late data. Coordinators have until midnight November 5 to complete any data entry or review. The Help Desk will contact institutional Keyholders if there are any problems or concerns with the data that were submitted during the fall collection. We are presently migrating Fall 2002 data to the Peer Analysis System.
The Winter 2002-2003 collection will open on November 25, 2002
UserIDs and passwords will remain the same as those used for the Fall collection. Keyholders should verify and update all Keyholder information, especially any time a new keyholder is appointed/designated. Please make sure the e-mail address is correct since this will be used for ALL further contact during the data collection.
The Winter collection will include the following surveys:
- Employees by Assigned Position - this survey is now mandatory for all institutions.
- Faculty Salaries - survey is mandatory for all 4-year institutions and for degree- granting 2-year institutions (that have full-time instructional faculty).
- Fall Staff - optional for 2002 (this is a biennial survey).
- Fall Enrollment - survey is mandatory and will be part of both Winter 2002-03 and Spring 2003 (institutions may respond during either collection) - collection includes residence data (mandatory); age (optional); full-year unduplicated counts by race/ethnicity and gender (mandatory); and instructional activity.
For further information about the winter and spring collections, please visit the IPEDS Web page at http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/webbase.asp.
The "Other Administrative" category used during the Winter 2001-2002 collection on both the EAP and Fall Staff components will NOT be used for the Winter 2002-2003 or any subsequent collections. This is being removed at the request of our respondents due to inconsistencies with EEO affirmative action plans.
