This Week In IPEDS (TWII)

Previous date October 7,2002 Next date

The Fall 2002 IPEDS collection will close in just two weeks, on October 22

Our thanks go out to the more than 1600 institutions that have entered, edited, and locked their survey data. The Fall collection includes Institutional Characteristics (IC) and Completions (C). Keyholders may continue to register if they have not already done so. Keyholders who do not have their UserID and password for the 2002-2003 collection should contact the Help Desk.

On Oct. 8, the Help Desk will begin calling CEOs and Keyholders of Title-IV institutions that have not begun entering data as of that date. Reminder emails will be sent to institutions that have not locked BOTH surveys on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15.

Institutions that participate in Title IV Federal student financial aid programs are required to respond to the IPEDS surveys as part of their Program Participation Agreements. Please note that during the 2002-2003 collection year, NCES will compile a list of non-respondents to each of the IPEDS surveys. In order to be considered a respondent, full and complete responses will be required; that is, institutions must lock their surveys. The lists of non-respondents will be verified and forwarded to the office of Federal Student Aid for appropriate action.
