Data Collection Video Tutorials

The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), with support from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), provides online, video tutorials for IPEDS survey components, data tools, and other related topics. Tutorials for the 2014-15 IPEDS Winter and Spring Data Collection Cycles were recently released and include new videos for the Academic Libraries and Admissions survey components. Links to the survey component tutorials are available from the survey screens, so that Keyholders can easily view them while submitting data. You can also access these tutorials from the NCES Training and Outreach webpage (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/InsidePages/JoinIn?pageid=37).

Revision of ADM available through the IC component

Although the Admissions (ADM) component is now part of the Winter Collection cycle, it is still possible to revise Prior Year data. In the Prior Year Revision System (http://surveys.nces.ed.gov/ipeds_py/) the admissions data are part of the Institutional Characteristics (IC) survey component, which will remain available for revisions for the duration of the Winter Collection.
