Data Collection System Offline this Weekend
The servers which host the IPEDS collection system and IPEDS data tools are being moved to cloud-based servers during the weekend of Sept. 12-14, 2014. The move is anticipated to begin at 10pm (eastern) on Friday night (9/12) and will be completed over the weekend. It is anticipated that the collection system and data tools will be unavailable for much of the weekend.
Prior Year Revision (PYR) System is Now Open
The Prior Year Revision (PYR) System is now available to keyholders for purposes of revising data submitted during the 2013-14 data collection year, and is located at: https://surveys.nces.ed.gov/ipeds_py. Survey components currently available for revision include Institutional Characteristics (Part B Admissions and Part C Student Services), Completions, and 12-Month Enrollment. These components will be available for revision through October 15, 2014. Winter and Spring Survey components from 2013-14 will be available for revision beginning December 10 and will remain open concurrently with the survey components in the 2014-15 data collection system.
IPEDS Listserv Reminders
The purpose of the IPEDS listserv is to provide a public forum to facilitate discussion of IPEDS-related questions and topics among IPEDS keyholders, coordinators, and other interested individuals. Common examples of topics that could be read and/or discussed are best practices, methods for pulling data from student data systems, etc.
