2014 Data Feedback Reports Release Schedule
The annual Data Feedback Reports (DFR) will be emailed to institutional Keyholders on November 20. Additionally, coordinators will be sent an email with links to the reports for all of their institutions. To ensure that you are able to receive the report, please add IPEDSDataFeedBack@kforcegov.com to your address book. If you do not receive the email by November 24, please check your spam or junk folders. Starting this year, Chief Executives will be emailed the DFRs instead of receiving a mailed printed copy. In order to ensure receipt, Keyholders are asked to verify the Chief Administrator Email Address, which is located on the Institution Identification page. Chief Executives should receive the DFRs on December 4, 2014.
For assistance with using the Data Feedback Reports, or the Customize DFR feature in the Data Center, please contact the IPEDS Data Tools Help Desk, at 1-866-558-0658, or ipedstools@rti.org.
College Affordability and Transparency Explanation Form (CATEF), 2015-2017
The Department of Education recently posted a Federal Register notice for public comment for the extension of the current CATEF collection (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-10-22/pdf/2014-25028.pdf). The CATEF collection, which satisfies the statutory requirements of the Higher Education Act, is a mandatory collection for a sub-group of institutions. Only institutions that appear on the Highest Tuition and Fees and/or Net Price Increase lists, which are posted on the College Affordability and Transparency Center website (http://collegecost.ed.gov/catc/), are required to complete CATEF. The information collected through CATEF must be written in an annual summary report to Congress that is published on the College Affordability and Transparency Center website, available via College Navigator. The Federal Register comment period for CATEF ends on December 22, 2014. Comments regarding burden and/or the collection activity requirements should be submitted electronically through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov by selecting Docket ID number ED-2014-ICCD-0145.
