Net Price Calculator Template Update

The 2012-13 version of the U.S. Department of Education's Net Price Calculator template is now available at the Department's Net Price Calculator Information Center (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/Section/Net_price_calculator). Other materials such as the 2012-13 template Quick Start Guide, source code, and the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) tables used in the template are also available.

GR/GR200 Survey Components - Did you Know?

Did you know that the IPEDS Graduation Rates (GR) and 200% Graduation Rates (GR200) components must now be submitted during the Winter IPEDS data collection? Although the data collected in these components has not changed, they are no longer part of the Spring data collection. Please take steps to ensure that your institution is prepared to report data for these components earlier than has been the case in recent years. Symposium on Postsecondary Institution Ratings Systems Rescheduled for February 6

The Department of Education is developing a Postsecondary Institution Ratings System (PIRS) to assess the performance of postsecondary institutions, advance institutional accountability and enhance consumer access to useful information. To assist in this effort, NCES has invited national experts to provide information about data elements, metrics, methods of data collection, methods of weighting or scoring, and presentation frameworks for a PIRS.

The NCES Technical Symposium on Postsecondary Institution Ratings Systems will now be held at 1990 K Street, NW, 8th Floor Conference Center, Washington, D.C. 20006 on Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The purpose of the symposium is to discuss a specific set of technical questions regarding the development of a PIRS.

Please note that the symposium is open to the public. Guests and attendees will have an opportunity to raise technical questions that will be shared with presenters during the symposium.
