1. New Webpage Provides Overview of IPEDS Data Collection, Coverage, and Data Release
NCES has recently published a webpage providing information for data reporters and data users on the timing of IPEDS data collection, an overview of the data collected, and timing of data release for using IPEDS data. The webpage is designed for individuals new to IPEDS and for those seeking general information about the data collection and dissemination process. 2. Update on DHS STEM-Related CIP Codes
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently proposed updates to the list of CIP Codes eligible for a STEM-related extension for optional practical training (OPT). The DHS added 22 CIP Codes to the list of existing CIP Codes eligible for visa extensions for optional practical training.
