This Week In IPEDS (TWII)
1) Update to IPEDS Instructions Related to HEERF Grants
Recently, the IPEDS instructions have been updated with revised language related to reporting Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF). Three Acts-- Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), and American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act-- provided grant funds under HEERF and should be treated as federal grants (but not as Title-IV grants) when reporting IPEDS data within the following survey components: Student Financial Aid (SFA), Finance (F), and Academic Libraries (AL). Survey instructions are available within the survey materials found on the IPEDS Survey Components page (https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/use-the-data/survey-components). For more information on HEERF, please see: https://www2.ed.gov/programs/heerf/index.html
2) DFRs Sent to Chief Administrators
Data Feedback Report (DFR) notification emails were sent to Chief Administrators on January 11, 2022, from IPEDSDataFeedback@ManTech.com. To access copies of the DFR, or to generate a customized DFR, please use the "Data Feedback Reports" feature on the Use-the-Data page (https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/use-the-data).
Reminder: The Winter 2021-22 and Spring 2022 IPEDS Data Collections are currently open and will close to Keyholders on February 9, 2022 and April 6, 2022, respectively.
