1) 2021-22 NCES IPEDS Updates Webinar – 2:00–3:30p.m. ET on October 18, 2021

The National Center for Education Statistics NCES will provide a general update on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) annual survey. The webinar is hosted by the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), open to the public, and free of charge. The following information will be presented: changes to the 2021-22 collection, a brief overview of Research and Development and potential future changes, and tools for using IPEDS data. The webinar is limited to 1000 participants, so register today (see link below)! Note: One registration may be used in a conference room setting to share with a group of colleagues. 2) 2022 NCES Data Institute Call for Applications

Apply for the NCES Data Institute: Using Federal Datasets to Support Research on Postsecondary Education on the Association for Institutional Research’s (AIR) NCES Data Institute web page (see link below)! The Institute provides an intensive introduction to National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) datasets and research methodologies. It is ideal for graduate students, early to mid-career IR professionals, faculty, and staff from state and federal agencies and other higher education organizations.

Participants (limited to 30) experience the Institute at no charge:
  - 5-week online course (January 18 – February 18, 2022)
  - 16-week capstone project (February 21 – June 10, 2022)
  - 3-day face-to-face meeting in Washington, D.C. (June 14–16, 2022)<sup>*

*</sup>Participants are responsible for cost of travel to the face-to-face meeting (travel, lodging, and meals).
