1. Winter 2016-17 Provisional Data Release and First Look Publication
On October 12th, the National Center for Education Statistics released IPEDS data collected during Winter 2016-17, including the first release of Outcome Measures data. The release includes: Graduation Rates for Selected Cohorts, 2008-13; Outcome Measures for Cohort Year 2008; Student Financial Aid, Academic Year 2015-16; and Admissions in Postsecondary Institutions, Fall 2016 First Look (Provisional Data), see: http://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=2017150. The data are also available through the IPEDS Use the Data page.
2. New Reporting Burden Information Being Collected
IPEDS respondents, please note that each IPEDS survey component now has additional information being collected related to reporting burden, in the "Prepared By" section of the collection forms. These new collection items will enable NCES to better understand the time it took to prepare each component in order to continue to improve the estimate of the reporting burden associated with IPEDS. Please provide the information as completely as possible to aid in this process. Your input is greatly appreciated.
