Deadline Approaching: Customize Your Comparison Group for the 2017 Data Feedback Report

Did you know that you can create or update a custom comparison group for your annual Data Feedback Report (DFR)? Each fall, a DFR is emailed to the CEO/President and to the IPEDS Keyholder, and compares your institution's IPEDS data with your peer institutions' IPEDS data. While creating a custom comparison group is not required, creating a customized group may make the DFR more useful for your campus leaders. The deadline for creating a comparison group is July 14, 2017.

There are two ways to create a custom comparison group: 1) by using the IPEDS Data Center's Customize DFR (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/datacenter/) or 2) through the Data Collection System's Tool menu and scroll down to locate Comparison Group Edit/Upload  (https://surveys.nces.ed.gov/IPEDS). Instructions for creating a custom comparison group are located under the Data Collection System's Help menu. Unsure about which institutions to include in your comparison group?
