1. Data Feedback Report Update
The 2016 Data Feedback Report (DFR) was emailed to Keyholders and Coordinators on March 8, 2017. The reports will be emailed to CEOs on March 21, 2017. All reports are also available in the Use The Data portal of the IPEDS website. The 2016 Data Feedback Reports are based on the data collected during the 2015-16 IPEDS collection cycle.
As a reminder, the Data Feedback Report is intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submitted to IPEDS. The purpose of this report is to provide institutional executives a useful resource and to help improve the quality and comparability of IPEDS data. If there are any questions, please contact the IPEDS Data Feedback Report team at ipedsdatafeedback@ed.gov or the IPEDS Help Desk.
2. Winter 2015-16 Provisional Data Release and First Look Publication
On February 28, the National Center for Education Statistics released IPEDS data collected during Winter 2015-16: Graduation Rates for Selected Cohorts, 2007-12; Student Financial Aid, Academic Year 2014-15; and Admissions in Postsecondary Institutions, Fall 2015: First Look (Provisional Data). 3. AIR Seeks IPEDS Educators
The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) seeks experienced IPEDS Keyholders, coordinators, and data users to assist in developing and delivering IPEDS training. Through a contract with RTI, funded by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), AIR delivers face-to-face national workshops, provides online courses and tutorials, and creates additional training materials for IPEDS survey components and data tools. To accomplish these tasks, AIR recruits experienced IPEDS users to develop and deliver a curriculum that takes a broad view of IPEDS to assure the quality of data submission and improve the skills of individuals using these data.
