TRP Suggestions Posted
Suggestions from the most recent meeting of the IPEDS Technical Review Panel are posted at https://edsurveys.rti.org/IPEDS_TRP/Default.aspx and are currently open for comment. Suggestions are from Technical Review Panel #48, “Institutional Groupings,” that was held October 20 and 21, 2015, in Washington DC. Comments from interested parties should be sent to Janice Kelly-Reid, IPEDS Project Director at RTI International, at ipedsTRPcomment@rti.org, and are due by January 7, 2016.
Data and College Navigator Updates
The “reported data” option under Look up an Institution now includes the Fall 2014 data for Institutional Characteristics, 12-month Enrollment, Completions and Spring 2015 data for Fall Enrollment, Finance, Human Resources and Academic Libraries.
College Navigator has been updated to include outcome measure data including retention, graduation rate and transfer out-rates for Servicemembers and Veterans. Also recently updated was the directory information including name changes, address information, telephone number, mission statement and URLS provided during the Fall 2015 collection.
2015 Data Feedback Report Update
The release of the 2015 Data Feedback Report (DFR) is now estimated to be January 2016 instead of the originally anticipated date of November 2015. Data Feedback Reports are based on the data collected during the 2014-15 IPEDS collection cycle and are the most recent data available. However, the 2014-15 Winter Collection data has yet to be released to the public. Upon release of the 2014-15 Winter Collection data, we will release the 2015 Data Feedback Reports to institutional keyholders, coordinators, and CEOs (Note: CEOs will receive the report two weeks after keyholders and coordinators).
As a reminder, the Data Feedback Report is intended to provide institutions a context for examining the data they submitted to IPEDS. The purpose of this report is to provide institutional executives a useful resource and to help improve the quality and comparability of IPEDS data. If there are any questions, please contact the IPEDS Data Feedback Report team at ipedsdatafeedback@ed.gov or the IPEDS Help Desk.
