Reporting Completions data in Fall 2003
Institutions may provide data on their Completions survey this fall using either the 1990 version of the Classification of Instructional Programs or CIP2000. See
Correcting Prior Year Data (NEW FEATURE)
For the first time, the web collection system will allow institutions to correct errors in your prior year’s submission or, if you did not complete a required survey last year, you may do so this year. Missing or erroneous data provided in Fall 2002 may be entered during the Fall 2003 collection period. Similarly missing/incorrect Winter 2002-03 data may be entered in Winter 2003-04 and Spring will work the same way. You may NOT access the data during any other collection period (only during the same period entered). This function has been made available to correct large errors or missing items: it is not intended for small changes and, in fact, the system will not allow users to make small changes to data items. Institutional Characteristics data will NOT be subject to change. You may correct the Pricing data on the 2003-04 survey if necessary.
NOTE: The correction system is available to the LAST LOCKING ENTITY ONLY. Keyholder with locking coordinators-you must contact your coordinator for further information. If the keyholder is the only locking entity, you must contact the Help Desk in order to make any changes. Once corrections are made and the survey re-locked, the new data will be reviewed and migrated to PAS (where applicable). Further instructions will be available on the IPEDS website prior to the opening of the fall collection.
