Changes for the 2008-09 Data Collection

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has received approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to implement the changes outlined in earlier communications to keyholders and coordinators. The main changes are: (1) implementation of new race & ethnicity reporting, (2) changes to Finance collection forms, (3) elimination of the first-professional degree classification, and (4) changes to the Student Financial Aid survey. 2008-09 Schedule Now Posted

The data collection schedule for the 2008-09 collection year has also been approved and is available at: http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/submit_data/schedule2008-09.asp

Updated College Navigator Data

College Navigator has been updated with the latest data from the Spring 2008 Collection including enrollment and retention rate data (fall 2007), Student financial aid (2006-07) and Graduation Rate data (2007).

New Feature in College Navigator

Newly incorporated features in College Navigator include the following: Directory information for your “Favorite” institutions can now be exported into Excel; the “Compare” page for multiple selected institutions can now be exported; and the “Compare” page now has “Expand All” and “Collapse All” functionality.
