Fall 2024 Data Released - Update

In the September 24, 2025 This Week in IPEDS announcing the Fall 2024 data release, the text indicated that the release included Cost of Attendance for the 2024-25 academic year. This update is to clarify that the Cost of Attendance for 2024-25 has been updated to College Navigator, however it has not yet been released within the Use-the-Data tools. Due to the introduction of the Cost component in 2024-25, the Cost of Attendance data will now be included in the upcoming Winter 2024-25 data release.

As previously noted, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has released provisional data from the Fall 2024 collection. This collection includes the following survey component data: Institutional Characteristics for the 2024-25 academic year, 12-Month Enrollment for the 2023-24 academic year, and Awards Conferred during the 2023-24 academic year. In addition, final data from the Fall 2023 collection have also been released. The data are now available through the IPEDS "Use the Data" webpage: https://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/use-the-data
